In September 1998, we took on a challenge: to create and establish the Centre d’Estudis de Lloret de Mar, a non-formal education center specializing in languages, with a clear goal: to make languages a practical tool for communication, building on many years of personal contact with students.

Our more specific objectives include ensuring that students can master and understand the language both orally and in writing and pass an official exam that certifies their knowledge in each language they study.

Lloret is one of the most important tourist centers in our region, where the diversity of languages is a valuable asset that we must leverage and master to provide excellent service to our visitors. This is also one of the goals of the Centre’s project.

Our Objectives

Objectives we pursue daily:
  • Communicate orally with attention to pronunciation and intonation.
  • Use the language effectively in various everyday situations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand different texts suited to the context, and express oneself clearly.
  • Utilize specific vocabulary appropriate to the level for both oral and written expression.
  • Adopt suitable attitudes and skills towards studying different subjects and languages.

Pedagogical Philosophy

Centre d’Estudis de Llengües

We have created a project centered around the individual and the student’s environment, based on educational and pedagogical principles:

  • Language learning is part of a cognitive and socialization process fundamental to the multilingual and multicultural world.
  • We view education in a holistic manner, focusing on effective language use in various everyday situations.
  • The individual as a person in the Center and each person’s individual goals are the main milestones to achieve.
  • Discipline, consistency, and perseverance in language learning contribute to personal growth.
  • Personalized attention and a well-prepared environment for the student’s effective support are daily priorities.
